My Pop was the type of guy that could put smiles on the faces of anyone in his presence. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. Pop worked hard to provide for and enjoy life. As you can imagine losing this man continues to be difficult for our family. In our loss we are left with unforgettable memories, stories and lessons that will never be forgotten…

James R. McBride

Born Aug. 16, 1915, in Clearfield, he was a son of John and Cordelia (Kephart) McBride. Mr. McBride retired from the former Harbison Walker Refractories, Clearfield. He was a member of West Side Church of Christ. He was a life member of Third Ward Hose Co.; a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 540 and a precinct chairman for the Democratic party.

Mr. McBride is survived by a special friend, Marge Miller of Clearfield; three children, Margery Haywood and her husband, John, and Sandra Schenk and her husband, George, all of Ontario, NY, and James A. McBride and his wife, Patricia, of Lawtons, NY; eight grandchildren, Michael Ward, Christopher Ward, Kevin McBride, Kathleen McBride, Gordon Schenk, Randall Schenk, Richard Hayward and Linda Bandar Amp; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was the last of his generation, preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary (Peters) McBride, five brothers, Clarence, Francis, George, Charles and Norman McBride; and two sisters, Dorothy Ardary and Annabelle McBride.
